The Ruined Cart Street route is the longest street in the Royal Center almost 1km to the peripheral gateway, and inscriptions on nearby monuments provide it with various names "main bazaar," "bazaar of the pan-sellers," etc. Facing onto this road are numerous temples and shrines, many now ruined or partly buried. The concentration of sacred structures along this road is remarkable.
