This temple is one of the first Vijayanagara structures. The temple was on the ancient road that led to the Pedda-andadi vidhi from Kamalapuram. This temple is built in the typical dvikuta style in 16th Century A.D and dedicated to Siva. Saiva dvarapalas adorn the doorway of the shrine. The east-facing shrine has Dravida vimana with circular stupi, whereas the south-facing Amman(Devi) shrine has a salasikhara.
